Abstract :
We present a RF digital receiver offering fiber optic transport of microwave signals and the linear conversion of the information band to the digital domain with high resolution. The architecture utilizes linear wideband electro-optic phase encoding, quadrature detection/downconversion and digital signal processing to achieve unprecedented linearity. Applications, results, technology comparisons and directions for future work will be discussed.
