Abstract
A device for slendering LiNbO3 transducers that operate in the GHz range is described. The device achieves transducer slendering of up to 1-2 μm. A plate of LiNbO3 is bonded to a block by indium and then burnished to a thickness of 20-30 μm. It is then scraped by the edge stimulated to the flexural vibrations. The scraping time is about 10-30 min
