  • Abstract
This paper constructed a model about engine combustion and NO emission using the HB mechanism, and analyzed the varied histories of pressure and average temperature in cylinder. The constructed model is verified by the comparison of simulated values with tested ones. This paper also analyzed actions of different kinds of NO emission to the total engine NOx emission. It is found that thermal NO occupies the absolute majority part of NO emitted from engine, and prompt NO has only a 5% to the total NO emitted, while the N2O acts a reductant to nitrogen oxides, which can reduce the total NO emission from engine.
