Abstract :
This work proposed a software definable adaptive space diversity in DS-CDMA systems. The key concerns the development of a valid and effective alternative to the time-consuming multiplication operations. A constrained algorithm can restrict the weight factors to power-of-two values and repetitive gradient search procedure to utilize shift operations and predicate functions. Not only can this approach yield high performance architecture for providing array-processing techniques in software radio, but the architecture and cost is reduced by reducing the computational effort, as confirmed by the prototype implementation and experimental results presented here.
