Abstract :
We present some new results for multichannel recovery of compressed video. This work extends our previously proposed multichannel recovery algorithm in that: (1) it allows bi-directional motion information to be utilised in the recovery algorithm and the motion compensation can be done at a sub-pixel level; (2) a simplified version of the recovery algorithm is introduced to reduce the computational cost. Numerical simulations using H.261 and H.263 compressed video sequences are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms
