Abstract :
For real-time massive data aggregations, we propose a WDM backbone-access network and design an integrated OADM OLT interface node to realize all-optical connections between the backbone and the access networks. Under such a network infrastructure, we formulate a Light-path-Assignment and Time-Scheduling (LATS) problem for the massive data aggregation application. We prove this problem to be NP complete and develop a heuristic approach based on problem decomposition. Extensive simulations demonstrate the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed approach.
