Multi-channel and multi-functional signal processing for fiber optic communications

Abstract :
We review recent work on developing multi-channel and multi-functional optical processing for DPSK signals. We demonstrate simultaneous demultiplexing and demodulation of multi-rate WDM-DPSK signals using a programmable wavelength selective switch as well as a tunable optical delay with amplitude noise regeneration of DPSK signals using a semiconductor optical amplifier.
