Abstract :
In the analysis of systems with parametric uncertainty, complex symbolic computations are often encountered. Therefore, computer implementations require the use of symbolic environments. Such an implementation is provided in the Parametric Systems Toolbox, a collection of files written in the MATLAB environment for the analysis and design of such systems. The importance of symbolic computation in this type of system analysis is discussed, and illustrative examples are given
