Abstract :
The paper has analyzed the temperature field of multiphase induction motors stator under one or two phases breaking and rotation frequency decreasing. The motor thermal condition could be analyzed by using modern software. In this case ELCUT soft that allows to simulate thermal field in the motor stator core is used. ELCUT calculations are based on the thermal differential equations. When the necessity for high reliability variable speed drives appeared multiphase induction motors (m>3) were invented.
