Abstract :
A Multi-wavelength Brillouin-Raman fiber laser system is introduced. A tunable ECL laser whose power is 3dBm is used as Brillouin pump, a three-wavelength fiber Raman laser is used as Raman pump, and 25km single mode fiber is used as both Brillouin and Raman gain media. Backward configuration of Raman amplifier used. Multi-wavelength emission can be obtained when the wavelength range of ECL is between 1530nm and 1560nm. When the wavelength of ECL is 1530 nm, the backward cascaded SBS of 178 even orders are observed. Its frequency shift and spectral bandwidth is 22GHz and 29.72 nm, respectively.
