Abstract :
A nonlinear electron conductance and the possibility of generating the oscillations in the field emission diode have been studied. A diode operation in the current cutoff regime has been considered. The similarity with the avalanche transit-time diode has been noted. The great influence of the field nonuniformity near the cathode on the electron conductance and efficiency has been shown
