Abstract :
In a battlefield setting, current re-warming techniques for treating patients suffering from hypothermia are inadequate, resulting in unnecessary morbidity and mortality. The authors propose the application of heated, humidified air to a patient´s airway as a complement to pre-existing hypothermia treatment techniques in order to improve this deficiency.
