Abstract :
The intelligent online operation manual and its application to implementing ISO 9000 quality management and assurance are discussed. Hypermedia technology is used to document the process operation manual for ISO 9000 online compliance. These documents can be accessed by operators and linked with the real time data from computer networks. The nonlinear search and intelligent reasoning functions have been implemented in the online operation manual that can be used as a tutoring system to train new employees and provide decision support to operators during process operation for quality assurance
