Abstract
In this paper, an extended Lotka-Volterra model for urban industry populations is put forward. The presented model has the features that the effects of system environment factors in system evolution process can be identified. And the model is used in Guilin city to identify the characteristics of each industry population, and to carry out system evolutionary analysis for the complex interactions between industry populations and their environment in urban development process
