Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

Language and culture are highly interrelated, that is to say, language is not only the carrier of culture but it is also restricted by culture. Therefore, foreign language teaching aiming at cultivate students´ intercultural communication should take culture differences into consideration. In this paper, the relationship between language and culture will be discussed. Then the importance of intercultural communication is illustrated. Finally, according to the present situation of English teaching in China, several strategies for cultural input in and out of class are suggested.
