Abstract :
It is demonstrated that LOTUS 1-2-3 is an extremely useful tool for active sonar signal design. The steps consist in simulating a random noise waveform, constructing a signal design, and then performing correlation processing to find and evaluate performance. Three features are important to the effort: the LOTUS random number generator, the LOTUS cell relational copy feature, and the LOTUS graphing capabilities
