Abstract :
The concept development method of active safety system was introduced and then the basic theory and main advantages of the new method of PRESCAN software were given. On this basis, Roewe 550 from SAIC Motor was chosen in this study for development of an active safety system. Firstly the system concepts which comply to the chosen design targets of Roewe 550 active safety system were identified, among which one concept was selected and control strategy, main design parameters were specified. Secondly, the chosen concept was modeled and evaluated in PRESCAN by subjecting it to a set of virtual traffic scenarios. Using the simulation results, the system architecture, control strategy and main design parameters were optimized. Results show that it´s applicable, high-efficient, low-cost and simple to develop active safety system using PRESCAN.
