Abstract
Today the issue of safety in the workplace is accepted. There are texts, photographs and films emphasizing the goal of a safer work environment. An appreciation of the lack of workplace safety in 1904 is difficult when the available materials are limited to texts and pictures. However, industrial films were made 1904 and they are now available on the Internet. These films show the practices of the period
