Abstract :
We propose a high-efficient photonic approach that can simultaneously down-convert, compress and invert the spectrum of multiband RF signal through coherently heterodyning the optic-carried multiband RF signal with a frequency carefully aligned optical frequency comb. A proof of concept experiment with dual band RF spectral manipulation is demonstrated to validate this proposal. Performance is also investigated that the system an EVM degradation of 7.5% compared to the back to back condition.
