Abstract :
In this paper, a microwave spectrum sensing system based on photonic time stretch with large stretch factor beyond 80 is designed and experimentally demonstrated. A 10 GHz input signal is turned into a 122 MHz signal after stretching and the signal spectrum is successfully reconstructed by a DSP. The mean square error for spectrum sensing of X-band microwave signal in the experiment is measured to be 0.34 MHz.
