Abstract :
Wireless mesh networks are a novel type of wireless networks which do not rely on any fixed infrastructure. Wireless mesh networks have several constraints such as limitation resource and node mobility that cause security in these networks always faces vast challenges. One main challenge in design of these networks is their vulnerability to security attacks. The most dangerous vulnerabilities are in network layer. This paper investigates the general security vulnerabilities for WMNs at the network layer, and will describe and analyze each of these threats and propose some recommendations to face them and make a comparison among general attack in network layer by various views.
