Abstract :
Zinc Oxide and Multi-wall Carbon nanotubes (ZnO/MWCNT) nanocomposites were successfully synthesized via the mixed solution of zinc acetate dehydrate (Zn(CH3COO)2·2H2O) and treated multi-wall CNTs by microwave-assisted method at various irradiation power. The physical properties of as-synthesized nanocomposites were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Thick film sensors were fabricated using ZnO/MWCNT nanocomposites as sensing materials onto inter-digited conducting electrodes. The alcohol sensing behavior of the hybrid composite films were investigated. It was found that the sensing response of the sensors depended strongly on irradiation power.
