Abstract :
This paper presents the vector control of six phase permanent magnet synchronous generator which is directly connected to a six leg converter. A mathematical model of the machine has been developed using the generalized two phase real component transformation. Dual synchronous d-q current control is employed so as to eliminate current imbalances. The six legs the converter are controlled to extract the maximum power from the wind turbine with reduced torque pulsation, reduced harmonics and minimum stator losses using vector space decomposition space vector modulation. Matlab® Simulink is used for simulation.
