Abstract :
National Power operates a portfolio of generating plant in the competitive UK electricity market. This paper describes how we have reduced the costs of major overhauls, and how we are now looking at a value based approach to overhaul scheduling. The key to success in this area is a good database of component reliability and maintenance cost information
