Abstract
The graph model for conflict resolution is put forward as a valuable service tool for providing strategic advice in multiple participant-multiple objective decision making situations. An international trading conflict over the sale of Canadian softwood lumber to customers in the United States is employed for demonstrating how the decision support system GMCR II can be utilized by managers and consultants for better understanding a conflict and its strategic implications. The objective is to furnish clients with insightful advice on how to make sage decisions within a competitive economic environment
