Abstract :
The compression molding of porous material such as substitute lumber was performed by using waste fibers (rags). Especially, attention was focused upon the molding of packing lumber and the pulling resistance of nails was discussed by comparing it with that of commercial lumber such as New Zealand pine tree. The mechanism of the pulling resistance of nails for the molded lumber was cleared from the experimental results.
