Abstract :
Much has been written, debated and discussed about the disasters projected to occur at precisely the moment the two-digit date codes roll over: from 99 to 00, just after Midnight, on January 1, 2000. You often find yourself asking, “How is disaster possible, when those two digits are not connected to anything?” And the answer may elude you, even after fully testing your software, because data not planned for, will invade your system at the most inopportune time. There´s always one more link, unaccounted for, or so it seems to software testers. But there is a brighter side to the gloom and doom presented ad nauseam in the press. This paper summarizes some of the more useful web sites, giving ideas and lists you and your company can use now, wherever you are in the change process. Web site addresses are provided for follow-up
