Abstract :
The heat loss of a CO2 laboratory pilot plant was estimated at different water mass flow circulation rates and reboiler duties. The results indicate that the heat loss increases with increasing water mass flow rate. The reboiler duty did not significantly affect the heat lost to the ambient air during the experiment. The maximum heat loss of the entire plant was estimated to be about 4.1 kW at a reboiler duty of about 6.1 kW when the water mass flow rate was about 454 kg/h.
