Abstract :
The corrosion of low carbon steel in phosphoric acid was studied at different temperatures in absence and presence of potassium iodide as a corrosion inhibitor. Weight loss and polarization techniques were used to evaluate the corrosion rate values. Two mathematical models were suggested to represent the corrosion rate data. Polynomial and exponential models were used. Computer program was used to estimate the constants of these models. Both models were successfully represent the corrosion rate data with high correlation coefficients.
