Abstract :
This paper introduces a telemedical system named CWANT (Chinese Wide Area Network of Telemedicine), which is designed and deployed by Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai JYMEC Corp. Compared with other systems, components in CWANT are more powerful, stable, convenient, and flexible. Two improvements, multi-binding of MODEM and an independent teleconference system, are developed. The aim of the project is that any patient outside the central city can easily get excellent telemedical service from experts at central hospitals in the metropolis
