Abstract
Several algorithms that can be used to locate the gill position where mechanical operations take place are described. The effect of adjustable parameters that are inherent to the hardware components and software algorithms on the performance of the vision system is discussed. To significantly improve the accuracy of the detection rate, a fuzzy-decision maker is developed. This procedure can generate more reliable outputs by using information from different algorithms
