Abstract :
This paper integrates Grossman decomposition model with Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) Decomposition method to construct a new decomposition model concerning industrial pollution factors. We decompose the influencing factors with the constructed model which selects year 2005 to 2008 as analysis period and Chinese industries and SO2 emission of its internal industries as research object. For Chinese industry and its domains, the dominant influencing factor of SO2 emission is scale effect in analysis period. The variation of scale goes against the reduction of SO2, whereas structural variation benefits that. Improve the clean technology effect or pollution treatment effect is two effective ways of reducing SO2 emission. Only by lowering down the emission of SO2 of leading domains, the reduction effect can be more obvious.
