Abstract
Indirect field oriented control of induction motor is in use widely owing to the high performance shown by the IM drives. The work done in this field is mainly based on conventional PID controllers. The application of fuzzy logic for controllers is in progress. The author has made an effort to develop a controller consisting of both the conventional PI controllers and fuzzy logic controller to put into indirect field oriented control of IM to achieve fast response of the motor. A comparison with the traditional controller has been made.
