  • Abstract
This paper describes an experimental evaluation of the oxygen flux from hollow fiber membranes submerged in plasma with 6% red blood cells compared to plasma with an equivalent concentration of cell free hemoglobin. Results show a 78% increase in oxygen flux using the cell free hemoglobin solution compared to red blood cells
