Abstract :
This paper presents a review of our recent work on dielectric-resonator (DR)-based left-handed (LH) metamaterial structures. The one-DR scheme in the cut-off background is composed of one-or two-dimensional array of TE resonant DRs inserted in the TE cut-off parallel plate waveguide. First, we introduce the cut-off parallel mesh plate waveguide in the DR-based LH metamaterial structure in order to introduce new applications to coupling and radiating systems. In the second place, end couplings between nonradiative dielectric waveguides and the DR-based LH transmission lines are proposed and demonstrated as a new feed line for achieving impedance matching for the balanced condition.
