Abstract :
This paper indicates the importance of EM-based layout simulation, and presents a combined circuit (CKT) and electromagnetic (EM) simulation method to analyze circuit performance in full layout level. A Ka-band MMIC power amplifier (PA) and wideband MMIC PA are used as examples, and simulations are confirmed by experiments.
