Abstract :
Engineering systems include computation intelligence and knowledge representations with dynamically developing theoretical, methodological, and systemic background. This means that the wished case study and project based education of engineers can be extended to theory, methodology, and systemic parts of curriculum. A new requirement is to bring not only originally laboratory hours but also lectures and seminars into engineering systems. In this paper, a recent approach is introduced to realize the above purpose in higher education courses. An introduction to the role of computation intelligence in engineering is followed by a model of integration of course programs in knowledge based engineering modeling. Finally, the integrated engineering and course process is discussed and the course unit is defined in order to prepare the above integration.
