Abstract :
A novel active inductor with independent quality factor (Q) and resonant frequency (ω0) tuning is presented. A bandpass filter based on the proposed active inductor can be operated from 2 GHz to 2.9 GHz. By changing the biasing current, Q of the bandpass filter can be tuned over 109. The circuit is designed and simulated using TSMC 0.18 μm process parameters with a 1.5 V power supply. The power dissipation is 4 mW with Q=80 at 2.4 GHz.
