Abstract
Accurate indoor positioning is very challenging. At this time, no solutions exist that can offer accurate indoor positioning over large areas. In this paper, we present a novel positioning technique called LOST, which offers sub-meter accuracy in indoor environments and can maintain this accuracy over large areas (>10.000 m2). LOST consists of a novel ranging technique and a novel positioning algorithm. Currently, LOST has been demonstrated with a dedicated ranging PCB implementation and positioning algorithm that confirms the unique combination of accuracy and coverage both in indoor and outdoor environments.
