Abstract :
Wavelength reuse or centralized lightwave can further simplify the base station of radio-over-fiber network. In this talk, we introduce three novel schemes to realize this function. The first scheme is based on phase modulation along with optical filtering. This scheme has high stability due to no electrical control circuit for DC bias. The second scheme is based on directly modulated DFB laser along with optical filtering. This one removes expensive modulator; therefore it will be a cost-effective solution. The third one is to re-modulate the DPSK downstream data. By using this scheme, the all lightwave power is well utilized.
