Abstract :
Dispersion curves of the microstrip and slot lines were derived by using spectral domain method, where layered structure consisting YIG film and GGG was assumed to control the dispersion characteristics by magnetic field. The results were mainly governed by the magnetostatic forward volume wave (MSFVW) mode with slow wave operation for the microstrip line and by the magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) mode with nonreciprocity for the slot line, which are coupled to the quasi-TEM mode. Experiments were undertaken to confirm dispersion characteristic with delay line measurement for MSFVW mode in the strip line and nonreciprocal behavior for MSSW mode in the slot line. Applications to their lines are briefly discussed.
