Abstract :
Novel first-stage backward-pumping and second-stage forward-pumping two-stage double-pass erbium-doped superfluorescent fiber sources are presented and theoretically studied. It is shown that broadband, high-power and high-stability ASE spectrum with different mean-wavelengths can be obtained by optimizing the parameters of the source. It can thus be a desired candidate for fiber-optic gyroscope and multiwavelength fiber sources.
