Abstract :
The author discusses recent progress and ongoing studies within the UK research program on InP solar cells for space applications. Research on InP-based solar cells in the UK covers fundamental and processing aspects, with the aim of allowing optimization of cell structures for end-of-life performance while maintaining processability. Highlighted areas include electron irradiation effects, computer modeling, and heteroepitaxy.<>
