Abstract
We describe a 3D vessel reconstruction system that can accurately display blood vessel geometry from 2D intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) images. Accuracy of the system is evaluated with 2 different geometries, by comparing the reconstructions to silicone molds of the vessel interior, biplane X-ray images, and the original echo images. Excellent correspondence was observed in both geometries
