Abstract :
MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 (MCAS) glass is used as a sintering aid to improve the sinterability of Al2O3-TiO2 ceramics. The densification of the 2wt%-MCAS-glass-added 92 mol%Al2O3-8 mol%TiO2 ceramics can be performed well at lower sintering temperatures of 1300∼1350°C. In this study, the sintering temperatures not only have influences on the crystalline phases of MCAS-doped Al2O3-TiO2 ceramics, but also have influences on the microwave dielectric characteristics.
