Abstract :
We have developed a miniaturized ultrasonic probe mounted on an 18-G puncturing needle and applied it to the detection of a flow in a small vessel using a correlation technique. The flow in a small vessel was clearly distinguishable from other regions in correlation images, whereas discrimination was difficult in a conventional B-mode image
