Abstract :
The minimization of head movement is essential for many research and clinical applications of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). A head stabilization system has been developed for use during fMRI with an insert gradient coil. The system is based on an adjustable custom fit cradle for the lower jaw. The system is easy to apply and adjust. Preliminary results indicate that the system may significantly limit head movement during fMRI of the human brain
