Abstract
This paper presents a dynamic range enhanced visual sensor circuit and its application for multi-object detection based on LGMD (Lobula Giant Movement Detection) method. The proposed visual sensor incorporates a DR (Dynamic Range) extension circuit with the general pipeline AD Converter. Therefore little changes are needed to achieve the DR extension. Together with the modified LGMD model, our system would effectively enhance the reliability of motion detection compared with traditional motion detecting system.
