Abstract
This paper deals with robust flux observation of an induction motor using a nonlinear observer based on sliding mode technique. The nonlinear observer is developed and is used to perform the direct field oriented control of an induction machine. By employing Lyapunov´s theorem, resistance adaptation schemes are designed to increase the observer process accuracy. Computer simulations and experimental tests have been carried out
