Abstract :
This paper studies the survivability in multicasting WDM mesh optical networks and proposes a new heuristic called segment protection with load balancing (SPLB) to address the single-link failure. Compared with the conventional algorithm, SPLB can perform better performances. Simulation results are shown to be promising.
